The blockbuster global Mummy frachise takes a spellbinding turn as the action shifts to Asia for the next chapter in the adventure series, The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor. Brendan Fraser returns as explorer Rick O'Connell to combat the resurrected Han Emperor (Jet Li) in an epic that races from the catacombs of ancient China high into the frigid Himalayas. Rick is joined in this all new adventure by son Alex (newcomer Luke Ford), wife Evelyn (Maria Bello) and her brother, Jonathan (John Hannah).
i watched the movie at home on dvd. i asked first chris (my boyfriend) if the movie is good. he just said that it was ok but he was a bit borred. so i check if the movie is really boring. at the first part of the movie, i was on the impression of 'mag net na lang kaya ako... kasi parang tinatamad ako manood ng movie' hehehe... i always have that attitude. bbili ng dvd ng mga movies na gusto kong panoorin pero tinatamad naman akong panoorin sila. well anyway, ayun nga... i was under that impression. but good thing di ko sinara yung tv. i continued watching it and to my surprise (and contrary to me boyfriend's comment) nag enjoy ako! i enjoyed watching the movie at hindi ako na bored. maybe one of the reasons is because i so loved the first two the mummy movies and i missed watching brendan fraser killing and fighting mummies in action.
i so loved how brendan fraser acts and plays the role of Rick O'Connell. Smart, witty, fast thinker, brave, a loving husband, and an understanding father to his son Alex. Jet Li also did a great job. I just wished I understood his scripts (that damn dvd didn't translated his lines in english!).
the only flaw i saw in this movie is that it's a bit predictable. mummies, tombs, guns, fightings... all a bit predictable. pero siyempre, dun naman talaga iikot ang plot ng story. ok lang sa akin na predictable siya kasi nadala naman ng maayos ng characters ang movie. it's a good thing i finished the movie. nag enjoy ako. di ako masyadong na relax since mei fighting scenes but i was entertained naman. :)
OVER ALL RATING: 4 out of 5
