Glorietta Bombing

hey... alam niyo na ba ang latest? nagkaron ng explosion sa mei glorietta 2 kaninang 1:30 p.m. dpa alam ang cause. pero ang sabi eh either LPG tank ng luk yuen or bomb na naka implant sa isang delivery truck na naka park sa mei glorietta 2 parking lot. 3 daw ang dead on the spot. 30+ people were rushed to the two nearest hospitals (makati medical city and ospital ng makati). one person died pag dating sa hospital. no concerete news about this yet... please pray that no one in your loved ones got hurt by this incident...

i was with my officemates kaninang lunch time sa mei landmark (emz, carlo, romz, bheng, annalyn, ceriz, rico, mike a., and yow). we decided to eat our lunch sa landmark food court. we were few steps away from glorietta. actually, muntikan na kaming dun mag lunch. fortunately, we were saved by our angels and led us to be unharmed. after namin kumain, cguro kalalabas pa lang namin ng landmark nun... nasa catwalk pa lang kami pabalik sa office ng nagkagulo doon. ang daming fire trucks, polices, ambulances and there we found out that there has been an explosion.

i'm really thankful that we are all completely unharmed...

a day with my family...

one saturday, i decided to spend a one whole day with my family. so sabi ko 'cge tara bihis kayo. punta tayong mall'.

matagal ko ng hindi nakakasama yung family ko sa mall. oftentimes, i go to the mall with chris (my boyfriend) to relax, to enjoy, and to shop. sobrang dalang lang yung makasama ko ang family ko para makapasyal. maybe because, i'm already an adult and i wanted to spend my malling time with my boyfriend. or maybe because iwas gastos din because since i'm already working, i will be the one in charge of the gastos when we're at the mall. both of them were true. but this time, since mei pera ang family (fresh salary received and papang's commission with home cable) we decided to go out and enjoy ourselves.

we went to mall of asia because we're not often going there (kung sa robinson's or sa sm manila, masyado ng common ang ambience). we ate lunch (since me and erica haven't eaten our breakfast and lunch yet). we were undecided where to eat. una sa taste asia daw, tapos biglang sa yellow cab, and then pizza hut... finally, we decided to try something new. we decided to eat at a restaurant where we haven't tried its food yet. something new to our taste buds... and that led us to SAKAE RESTAURANT. its a japanese restaurant found at the second floor of mall of asia.

the restaurant's ambience is very cozy and comfortable. we decided to sit at their sofa-like chairs so we can eat and relax at the same time. sobrang natuwa kami ni erica sa moving table nila sa gitna where in nakalagay dun sa table na yun yung foods nila. tapos pag gusto mo yung food na yun, all you have to do is get that food. literary 'food ang lumalapit sayo'. hehe... nakakaaliw talaga... sana nakuhaan ko siya ng picture but i forgot eh.

food was ok. its like nabusog ako pero there's no special about it. but in all fairness, their food presentation is good. actually, not bad for a japanese restaurant.


I forgot what they call this food. but this was Erica's ordered and it was yummy!!! (^_^)		erica and me just like sweet little sisters. hehe... (^_^)

after that, we decided to shop a bit (konti lang) we went to sm hypermart and ace hardware to buy some things (this was the time when i bought my veggie/fruits magnets. hehe...)

then (here's the best part), we decided to enjoy ourselves in powerstation's videoke booths. we rented one booth and there we sang more than 10 songs... just look at my family:

we enjoyed our videoke time together. but we haven't stopped there yet. Erica told us that there will be a free fireworks display at 7pm so we waited by the bay to watch this enticing fireworks display. here are some of my shots:

of course, i'm not contended with the unmoving and mute souveneirs of the fireworks so i decided to record some of it (^_^)

it was already past 9 but we were still full with what we have eaten on Sakae Resaurant so we just decided to sip a cup of coffee and have some cakes and pastries at starbucks ground floor, main mall (in front of pizza hut bistro)

over all, i had a really good time with my family. GREATEST time with my family. i was with them the whole day and we have a good, quality, bonding time together. i hope we could do that again some other time. (^_^)

october 06, 2007 - saturday - my 22nd birthday

i celebrated my birthday ng simple lang. walang handa, walang bisita, pero fulfulling. a week before my birthday, tinatanong ko na si mamang kung pwde kong pakainin yung officemates ko. I said kahit simpleng pansit lang (iwas kanchaw ba... hehe) at first, we decided to let someone cook the pancit. kung baga, we'll order it na lang somewhere else. until finally, mamang decided that she'll be the one to cook the pansit na lang. so friday (october 5), I asked mamang and papang to bring the pansit in the office at 3pm para eksaktong meryenda. while waiting for them to arrive, my teammates (zimplizity) surprised me by giving me a cheescake etc. chocolate cake (this is too yummy!!! best cake I've ever tasted so far!!!) and a customized balloon (skull symbol courtesy of maki. hehe...) sobrang na shock ako and stunned as I'm not not expecting them to give me anything since kinabukasan pa ang birthday ko. super happy talaga ako sa ginawa nilang pag surprise sa akin. Mamang and papang came to the office at 3:30 (ok lang kahit hindi 3. at least hindi naman 4pm. hehe...) ang dami pala nung pansit na niluto ni mamang! I wasn't expecting a bilao full of pansit plus mei mga sandwiches pa! so ayun, madami naman akong napakain na officemates. di nga lang lahat sila (well, wala akong balak pakainin lahat ng officemates ko dahil mamumulubi naman ako no!)

yan yung mga natatandaan kong napakain ko and i'm glad nagustuhan nila ang luto ni mamang. lahat sila bumalik to get some more pansit. si miss wilma gusto pa sana magpaluto kay mamang for our townhall. Hehe... nakakatuwa... pareho kami ni mamang na na-touch and na flatter dahil na appreciate nila yung pansit. after nun, i ate the cake with my teammates. haaaaaaay... nasarapan talaga ako. i almost forgot my name! a day before my birthday is one hell of a day. ang daming nag greet sa office namin. dami din nag pm sa pandion. si mike kelly nag greet sa akin personally. they really love me (^_^)

october 6 came... badtrip! i spent half of my day sa hospital for follow-up check up sa kidney ko. urinalysis, ultrasound... argh!!! that is not my ideal birthday!!! anyway, we went home past 2pm.. buti nalang nandun si erica to cook some special food. she prepared lasagna! yummy talaga! i ate it together with my family tapos kinain din namin yung other half of the cake na natira na bigay ng zimplizity sa akin and yung ice cream na binili sa akin ni erica (i have the sweetest, most caring, and most thoughful family in the whole world!!!) after that, i opened the gift na binigay nila sa akin. they gave me a cd box where i can keep my cds para hindi maalikabukan. and not only that, they gave me two birthday cards. ang sweet ng messages nila. i'll try to scan it na lang para ma-post ko din dito.

i decided to hear mass at 6pm (para anticipated mass na din. hehe...) with chris. after the mass, chris and her family gave me a chocolate cake! wow!!! sobrang na touch ako at dko ineexpect yun. alam mo yun, dumami yung handa ko dahil ang daming nag bigay sa akin. thankful talaga ako to have them in my life. my birthday may not have a grand celebration but im happy with what happened and with what I received (^_^)
