while everybody was still in their houses with their families extending the Christmas celebration and noche buena, i'm on my way to the office because we have work (as usual) after the holidays. even though the president declared december 26 to be a special non-working holiday, my office don't buy it. Because for them, they believe in the so-called saying 'if we don't take care of our customers, SOMEBODY ELSE WILL!' so, here i'am... working on my four-walled office in ortigas to TAKE CARE of our customers (damn it!)
i miss the good old days where in we go to our ninong and ninang's houses to ask for some aguinaldo. whatever they give to us, its fine. of course it would be better if they'll give us money (c'mon... i need something to spend too you know...) and after having enough money, we go to the mall and spend it like crazy and buy some good stuff like new clothes, bags, shoes, and everything we wanna have. then, when the time comes to go back to school, we will wear new things and bring new stuff so that our classmates will become envious. nah... its the elementary days...
when i was in college, i became wiser and closer to some of my ninongs and ninangs. i text them and greet them the usual 'merry christmas'. i often joke and say 'pwde ba mamasko?' when they buy it, of course i go there and ask for some aguinaldo (hoping and praying that its CASH that they will give. hehehe...)
while getting older, gifts become lesser... that's a fact! i know! im a witness to that...but here's the thing: while getting older, you will understand more the meaning of a true Christmas... not just because it's your turn to buy gifts and spend lots and lots of money.. but because it's your time to give more and receive less. GIVING is the essence of christmas. im not being a drama queen in here... its just that this is the only time i realized those things. i became more serious... i became more meticuclous when buying gifts for my family and inaanaks (haha... its my turn to be a ninang).
damn it! back to reality here... nah... don't mind me... im just blurting things here... i know... i know... im not making any sense... who cares??? hahaha... sorry... i just need something to do coz im really bored here in the office doing nothing... no internet connection... damn it!
